The SASe Sea Scout has Officially Launched this year’s World Oceans Day
The ceremony was attended by officials from the Ministry of Climate Change, Environment and Energy, Housing Development Corporation (HDC), SAS e Construction Managing Director Abdullah Sawad, shareholders, and company employees.
The launch was officiated by Climate Change, Environment and Energy Minister Ali Shareef. Speaking at the ceremony, the Minister praised the initiative, noting that such efforts help revive the spirit of environmental protection and safeguard the Maldives’ sensitive marine ecosystems.
The SAS e Sea Scout is designed to remove garbage and plastic from coastal areas and surrounding waters. The company describes it as a significant step that reflects SAS e Construction’s commitment to environmental responsibility and sustainable business practices. The introduction of the SAS e Sea Scout demonstrates how innovative thinking within the private sector can contribute meaningfully to environmental protection.
